Day 4: Lakene – Deje approx. 45 km.

The 2nd part of the trip is over the Klarälvsbanan. After returning the rented bicycles the trip ends.

Klarälvsbanan

At the end of the 19th Century, there were trains riding straight through the middle of the Swedish nature areas. Now more than 100 years later the trains have disappeared and asphalted cycling tracks replace the old train tracks. Here you can enjoy your bike trip without having to worry about cars.

Programme:

Day 1: Arrival in Karlstad.

Day 2: Karlstad - Dömle (Klarälvsbanan) approx. 30 km.

Stay at: Dömle Herrgård

Day 3: Dömle - Munkfors (Klarälvsbanan) approx. 35 km.

Mini Värmland Tour

Start in Sunne, Uddeholm or Munkfors. Wonderful cycling through the beautiful nature of Värmland.

Programme:

Day 1: Arrival in Sunne

Stay at: Quality Hotel Selma Lagerlöf.

Day 2: Sunne – Uddeholm approx. 57 km.

A beautiful varied tour, during which small cores such as Gjutaregården and Bäckalund are passed.

Stay at: Uddeholms Hotel

Day 3: Uddeholm – Munkfors approx. 46 km.

Wonderful cycling on beautiful unpaved roads. After that in Munkfors visit for example “Gamla Bruket” or “Laxholmen” with an exhibition about famous watercolour painter Lars Lerin.

Stay at: Munkfors Hotell

Day 4: Munkfors – Sunne approx. 40 km.

Through Ransberg and Mårbacka you will cycle back to Sunne. In Mårbacka you will pass the house/museum of Selma Lagerlöf.

After returning the rental bicycles the trip ends.

Day 1: Arrival in Karlstad

On beautiful but public roads you will cycle from Kil to Dömle.

Stay at: Dömle Herrgård

Day 3: Dömle - Karlstad approx. 35 km.

From Deje you will enter the Klarälsbanan, and follow this bicycle path back to Karlstad. After returning the rented materials the trip ends.

Our short trips are an excellent addition to our 8-day cycling trips. Of course, you can also book these arrangements when you are already staying in Sweden. For example when you are in transit or as a pleasant break from a camping trip.
